Getting 8 banks on my Virus Classic

The owner's manual says that there are 8 banks of sounds, but my Virus Classic has only 4. Do I need to dump the demo song to get the extra banks? I have the latest OS. Thanks.

There was an OS update that allowed that for my old Virus B, so you might have to do that for the Classic... kinda weird though because IIRC it should've shipped with the 8 banks already enabled...

the (optional) updates deleted the demo song and created space for 4 additional rom banks. some people like demo song, some people don't need them (especially after buying the synth in question).

Turn a Classic Into a "B"

Hi, marc. What I get from your reply is that if I install a different OS than what was shipped with my Classic, I'll get the extra 4 banks. Does the installation automatically delete the demo? What is the difference between a Classic and a "B"?

the classic and the "b" are the same. as for how to install the extra banks, i simply can't remember from the top of my head. but i'm sure support can help you out.
