Virus TI Snow does not sound right? + problems! help!

Hi!

I just recieved my Virus TI Snow..

I'm wondering how I could use my external soundcard and Virus TI Snow to work both together?

Virus TI Snow does work like an external soundcard as well? or am I wrong? and the settings in Logic Pro 9 which I am using as a DAW keeps changing the settings of the input and out audio device. How do I setup this properly?

When I play presets which I bought from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn1oZRffcT0, I just get a very annoying buzzy unclear, annoying sound, not the actual preset sounds itself, really annoying! All the presets sounds almost the same, really weird.

Also the AU inside of Logic keeps telling me that it's not connected, eventhough I've went through all the steps several times, by holding buttons in and waiting 30 seconds and then reconnecting the usb port etc..

The demo song sounds really weird, just like a monotonic sound for all the different instruments, the kick sounds like a super mario 8-bit sound. Something's really wrong with my settings I guess, eventhough I read through the tutorial and did everything just like it said?

I also got the sync problem issue. I'm using the latest MacBook Pro 15" with SSD disks, so the specs on the computer is definately fine. I also connected the Virus TI Snow to a seperate (free) USB port on the macbook. In the other USB port I have an Apple Cinema Display 24" connected which has a built-in USB-hub aswell. In that USB hub I have connected an external USB hub and all my other devices such as: midi-keyboard, apogee-duet soundcard and keyboard is connected to there. Everything works fine, but the Virus TI on the other hand, doesn't work fine :/ eventhough it is connected to a separate and free usb port.

Please help.

Thanks!

EDIT: I got it to work farily good now, the only problem that consists is that Logic Pro 9 keeps freezing and crashing when I'm working with Virus TI Snow.. anyone know a solution for this? thanks.

What are the exact settings you're using for the Logic preferences parameters in "audio"/"devices" for

- audio buffer size
- process buffer range

Eventually send me an email to support [at] access-music.de so I can take a closer look. I might need more information on top of the two parameters listed above, but I will send you more instructions then. Please send the entire forum post in your email.

Best wishes,

- audio buffer size (I'm guessing you mean I/O Buffer Size), that is set to: 128 Samples.

- process buffer range is set to: Small.

that's the strange thing, I don't know.. it keeps coming back from time to time. I just unplugged the USB cable like 10 times.. after 10 times it started to work, really weird :s

Mac OSX 10.6.8, I think I'm having Snow leopard (32bit) but I'm not sure where to find that out. Although it's the newest MacBook Pro which was released this year (2011). i7 processor, 4gb ram, 240GB SSD with optical drive 500GB as well, etc.

Here's a link on how to find out whether you're running your Mac in 32 Bit or 64 bit Kernel mode:
