Virus TI Input pops and clicks

Hi there,

I have had my Virus TI for a while now, but I have never really needed to use the audio input before. Due to the fact I have minimal space these days, my newly acquired V-Synth XT is attached through the TI via the analog inputs. I know it's best to use my interface, but it's a space thing... I've noticed that every so often I'm getting pops/clicks through the inputs. At first I thought it might be the XT, so I hooked up my Blofeld - same deal.

Has anyone with a TI had a similar issue? I have dropped the USB connections to see if that was the cause and it doesn't seem to be. The Virus has always been a bit touchy to me, but I really don't know how to deal with this.

Can anyone help?!

3 things that come to mind are;

-Increase your buffer size.(audio driver)
-Dedicated usb card, try one...
-Turn off OS using soundcard as output (only use from audio program) sharing can cause issues sometimes.

Thanks for you responses. Maybe I haven't made myself clear.

I'm not getting pops/clicks on the Virus, I'm getting them using the analog inputs on the TI even without a computer in the loop. I'll contact support.

Yes, it seems to always have been an issue. Not sure if it's grounding or hardware based.

Ok, I don't know whether my issues are related to some of the other posts here. Basically I have swapped over to my Blofeld piped into my TI inputs (just passed through, no processing or anything). I have disconnected usb cables, tried Headphone outputs, line outs etc. Either my V-Synth XT, Blofeld and JD990 all have crackles or pops or my TI is adding random crackles and pops on the pass through output. It's either a hardware issue, or a software one, not sure which. I guess support is my next stop....!!
