Timing issues with Virus Ti

Hi all

I have a problem with my Virus Ti which is giving me a nightmare and is causing trouble working on tracks for our upcoming album:(

I will try as good as I can to explain them below:

1) When I try to use the Virus just like any other hardware synth through midi, it will simply not play back any of the parts that are programmed or played in on the designated Port (in this case port 1 on the Motu Midi Express 128 interface) and midi channel.
Besides this when playing on the master keyboard the midi information in Logic 9 goes mental and I then have to delete the track assigned to the Virus.

2) When trying to use it with the USB connection I can play a sound on the designated track but on playback it is out of time - the outputs are set to use the analog outs which are connected to the Mackie mixer.

I used to have a Virus B for a long time and never had any problems, it was probably the most reliable synth I ever had in my at the time huge collection. The Virus Ti for some reason does have a problem doing the most simplest of tasks i.e playing back midi notes!

Anyone has a similar problem or know what I might be doing wrong? Below the list of equipment involved.

DAW - Logic 9 on Mac Pro Quad 2.66, 8Gb Ram, 3TB Storage (3 HD drives each 1TB)
Motu Midi Express 128
Virus Ti running OS 4 (latest public beta)

Cheers

I have only used it on my old macbook with OS3 (which I have sold and ordered a new macbook pro which has not yet arrived LOL)via the usb connection and then there was no problem. However I never tried the physical outs and it was at the time the only piece of equipment connected. Now I use it in my studio setup where I want to use the physical outs. I might try and roll back the OS? (I did not use it in the new setup with OS3 as I just downloaded OS4 as the reports were good)

try disconnect all your usb devices except your mouse and keyboard
then use your virus as a sound card and put the virus latency on rapid mode
and try to create a new project and use 2 or 3 virus part with some other stuff like drums and vsti.... and then playback your project....

that's to be expected and documented. the analogue outs are "ahead of time" when using virus control. you should use the USB outs instead.
