Email notifications and stuff

Guys,

If I start a thread or reply to one or mark one as favourite,
I do not receive an email.
Can someone fix this.

Also, with the same computer on login page, same IP address and same modem/router,
I am asked to login each time even though I tick the "2 weeks" box.
What happens here?
