Is there any way to turn off input thru from Virus Control?

nope... it's a hardware feature only .... press config > select edit config 1/2 and here it is "input thru".

Yes, until you reset all parameters by holding down [ARP EDIT] during power on, this resets all parameters (it won't touch your patches).

why after an os install does it turn input thru on? is there reason for this?
