Syncing patches with virus contol on startup?

Hey, I have seen a lot of people have said that they encounter this problem. When I hook up my virus ti desktop via usb and insert virus control on a midi channel in Ableton live 8 it takes 15 minutes or more to sync all the patches. This happens if I am starting a new project or a previous project I have already saved. Is this just how it is or is there a quicker way? Thank you

it seems that the problem can be solved by opening Virus Control Center and updating the Virus in question again with the same operating system.

Hey Marc, I have the latest upgrade, 3.3.4. Should I open Virus control inside of my daw and upgrade again with my project open and while the plug in is running? I am a little confused on this. Will it overwrite the installed files I have downloaded to my system?Thanks for the help.

I'm having the same problem here too with my Ti Snow. I didn't have this problem when I was using Cubase 5 but now I just bought a Mac, it's happening with Logic 9.1 Very strange! Are there any fixes for this? Thanks

Confirmed, it solved the problem with ti desktop. The only inconvenience is that after updating the virus with Control Center the Logic plugin says, there is a USB/driver error and it needs to be re-installed. I did but switched off the virus to avoid upgrading its system again...

Now it works perfect, no syncing patches after launching the plugin!

Hey Marc, when you say updating by opening Virus Control center, where exactly do you mean? From the plug in when my sequencer is open? Do I just have to update the Virus control or the whole operating system again?

Hay mate how you going..

I believe you can update the Virus Ti while the plug in is operational when you open a Project page with a MAC, With a Pc you can only update the Virus Ti in "Documents then Settings folder"

Hey Ray, thanks for the help again! I should have replied to my post because I figured this out from another post, sorry about that but thank you for helping. I guess I will see you on another thread, haha.
