Just moved to Mac - why only 16bit output?

On Windows I can get 24/96 output but Mac OS X's Audio MIDI Setup only shows16 bits at either 44.1 or 48 kHz. How can I change to a better rate?

Yeah. That is pretty weird. My Snow is the same. No idea why it should be like that though. There's no limitation of Core Audio that would force it to be 16-bit.

It doesn't seem to be covered in any of the manuals - why is this limitation not even documented by Access?

Im on the iMac and I cant use my Virus at 48KHZ. I can only use at 44KHZ.
both on 16bit.
