Help!! Lost patches when changing to new computer

Hi I wonder if anyone could help me here.I have just bought a new imac and changing over from my macbook pro for the studio.When putting my virus ti software on to the new imac and using the synth in ableton , my old patches that i created myself seemed to have disappeared can anyone advise??I certainly hope so or a huge amount of work will be lost hewre here .

in which way did you transfer the patches from your old to your new mac? the RAM patches in the virus will survive automatically, all banks you stored on a drive need to be transferred.
