Snow -> TI2??

I'm thinking of getting a SNOW but don't want to if at TI2 version will be out any day.

Does anyone know if there are plans for a TI2 (as opposed to TI) version of Snow?

Thanks

TI2 is already out, it's just the same as TI1 but with more poly (double a snow).

*edit* if you mean an updated version of a snow then I don't know, I believe the snow was what a TI2 was based on (it said TI2 Snow on my box so I don't know), I'm guessing they would base an update on the next model.

ah ok thanks

I DID mean an updated version of Snow because, strangely, the Snow product is the only one on the Access website that only mentions TI, not TI2. All the other products mention TI2. Perhaps I'll check a box at my dealers and see if TI2 is mentioned there, as you said it was on yours.

Well I don't know for sure but it did say TI2 Snow on my box

Doesn't mean they wont be bringing out an updated version soon just I believe the snow is already based on the same thing as the TI2 (a slighty overclocked DSP), would be good for access to confirm that though.

As far as I can tell they released the snow using a newer faster version of the DSP in the TI, and I guess they thought, hey, lets put two of these in the TI to get more polyphony and call it the TI2... so the snow already uses the new stuff and so you'd have to wait for a third, even faster, DSP to be released for a new snow.
