Control Volume and Pan via Midi

Hey Guys,

So here's the situation. I've been using NI Maschine more and more. Now I can sequence the Virus using NI Maschine MIDI out. But I want to be able to control the Volume and Pan as well from Maschine so I can make adjustments on the fly, without going into the Sub-Menus on the Virus Hardware. I'm not using VC since Maschine can't really host VSTs.

I basically need to know which Channel the Level and Pan are on. I tried CC 7 and CC 10 on CH1-16, this only controls the volume for Part 1. Can't seem to control Part 2-16.

Any help is much appreciated.

Download one of the old virus manuals (A/B/C/Powercore), the midi cc numbers are in them.

Hey Infraction,

Thanks for the reply. I have the Midi CC#, but it not working with the correct parts. No matter which part I choose, it always wiggles Part 1. ?(

All CC parameters are the same for all parts just you need to make sure maschine is controlling the right midi channel for the part you want to control. I'm not too familiar with maschine myself but best place to ask would be the NI forums.

Maschine is sending out CC 7 on different channels. But the part remains the same in VC. Maybe I'll talk to support about this.
