how to connect a guitar ?

Hi there, sorry for the silly question but I'm a very new (and happy) Virus owner.....can you tell me how to connect a guitar to Virus ? I've tried using "ext in", but nothing......maybe I must set up something inside Virus first ?
thanx

Try turning up the input boost. I believe its in the Config menu under 'Input'.

you need a some sort of pre amp as there is not enough power to run the pickups

go into the efx section and toggle to the input mode
switch it to static or dynamic
dynamic mode means that there must be a midi not triggered to hear audio
try that and see if it works

Thank ou VERY much woodster77 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very last question.....plugin an external audio in static mode I can use just "filters section"
if I use dynamic mode (via midi) should I be able to use also Oscillators, arpeggio etc ?

dynamic mode only lets you use the filters, env, lfos
basically replacing the oscillators
BUT.................
you can use the ring mod with the oscillators and incoming audio
but you cant just jack in a guitar mate
anyway enjoy and any other questions bout the "B" private mail me bud and ill do my best
